Find Norman County Inmates

A Norman County inmate search uses regional custody records as well as local sheriff contact. Norman County inmate records are not limited to a single county jail list because local custody may start with short-term holding and then route through a regional corrections center. A Norman County jail roster search should check the current roster, court-date source, custody limits, and state or federal lookup routes when the person is not shown locally. The roster is useful for custody status, but court files remain separate.

Norman County Jail Roster Route

Norman County operates a 72-hour holding facility through the sheriff's office, not a full long-term county jail for ordinary custody. The county formed a Joint Powers Agreement with Polk County and Red Lake County for correctional services in 1976, and Tri-County Community Corrections now provides the regional jail route. The official inmate roster used for Norman County inmates is the Tri-County / Northwest Regional Corrections Center roster.

The roster includes people incarcerated on local county charges, people held under contract with the State of Minnesota, and people on warrants or holds from other jurisdictions. It is updated each Monday through Friday morning. That update pattern matters. A person booked after the morning update, released after court, moved to state custody, or held under a federal or immigration channel may not be easy to confirm from the local PDF alone.

The NWRCC FAQ is the source for court-date, mail, bail, and self-surrender routing tied to regional custody.

The regional FAQ is important because it separates custody operations from court-date and case-file questions.

Use the Norman County Inmate Roster

The Tri-County inmate roster page opens the current PDF-style list rather than a database with a name-search form. Use the browser or PDF find tool to search a last name, then read the row in context. If the person is not listed, check spelling, the update time, release status, and whether the person may be in state prison, federal custody, ICE custody, or another county's facility.

  1. Open the Tri-County / NWRCC inmate roster from the regional corrections page.
  2. Use the browser or PDF find function to search the last name first.
  3. Review the incarceration date, date of birth, and controlling charge before assuming a match.
  4. For court dates, contact the Court Administration Office for the county where the inmate will appear.
  5. If no local match appears, check DOC custody or other federal and immigration routes when those may apply.

Norman County Inmate Roster Fields

The NWRCC roster does not ask the user to fill out a form. Its search field is practical rather than formal: open the current roster and search inside the PDF. The research file captured the visible columns and metadata from the inspected roster, including the printed timestamp and total rows. These fields are enough to identify a likely person in custody, but they do not provide the full booking file.

Norman County Inmate Record Inventory

The roster is a custody snapshot, not the official criminal case record. The inspected NWRCC roster showed a facility header, inmate photo column, name, incarceration date, date of birth, and controlling charge. It also showed charge examples such as failure to appear charged or convicted of felony, third-degree DWI, Hold INS, parole violation, fugitive language, and controlled-substance charges with statute citations.

For charge history after arrest, use the court case file and not only the roster. The local Norman County arrest records and court charges workflow explains how controlling charges differ from filed court charges.

Norman County Inmate Phone And Mail

NWRCC uses Securus Technologies for phone calls, phone cards, video visitation, and messaging. The listed Securus phone contact is (800) 844-6591, and the video visitation contact is (877) 578-3658. Jail staff will not take non-emergency messages for inmates. A person who wants to leave a message uses the Securus messaging process and private mailbox ID. Tablet access is a privilege based on classification and behavior.

Non-attorney calls are monitored and recorded, while attorney calls are excepted. NWRCC also reviews digital photos and videos for appropriateness. Communications that violate no-contact orders are forwarded to prosecutors and law enforcement. Mail uses the inmate name and the NWRCC address at 816 Marin Avenue, Suite 110, Crookston, MN 56716.

The NWRCC phone, messaging, and tablet rules are the source for phone vendor and messaging limits.

Norman County Inmate Money Rules

NWRCC allows money, prescription medication, and work release or Sentence to Service clothing to be dropped off during weekday business hours, excluding holidays. Extra property is not accepted unless it is tied to work release, STS, or a medical need approved by the on-duty sergeant. Personal checks are not accepted. Released-inmate property that remains unclaimed can be disposed of after 90 days.

Money can be deposited by lobby kiosk, money order by mail, or online through Inmate Canteen by selecting Tri County Community Corrections. Vendor support is handled through TurnKey Corrections at 715-386-5700 or ICCSupport@tkc32m.com. Property cannot be released without inmate permission and an authorization form.

The NWRCC property and money rules give the drop-off and deposit standards.

Other Norman County Inmate Searches

If a person does not appear on the NWRCC roster, the next search depends on custody type. Sentenced Department of Corrections inmates are searched in the Minnesota DOC public viewer. Public criminal-history searches go through the BCA Criminal History Search, not MCRO. ICE detainees are searched through ICE's locator. Persons housed for the U.S. Marshals Service require the federal FOIA or contact route described by Tri-County.

No official Norman County sheriff mobile app was identified in the official sources or app-store searches reviewed for the research file. The documented Norman County inmate lookup routes are the county sheriff site, the Tri-County roster, phone contacts, Court Administration for court dates, DOC for state prison custody, and federal or immigration routes when those apply.
