Why We Built This Site
Minnesota gives the public access to many court and government records, but the correct custodian depends on the record type. Norman County District Court and Court Administration maintain civil, family, probate, traffic, criminal, juvenile, and conciliation case records. The County Recorder handles marriage certificates, marriage licenses, vital records, real estate records, military discharges, notary filings, and tax liens. The Sheriff's Office handles law-enforcement records and a short-term holding facility, while the regional Northwest Corrections roster carries many custody records.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to Norman County, the Minnesota Judicial Branch, Norman County District Court, Court Administration, the Recorder, the Sheriff's Office, Tri-County Community Corrections, or any state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document, marriage record, divorce decree, or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific Minnesota case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, court rule, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
